FOR NETJETS PILOTS
Investment management for NetJets pilots.
A fiduciary practice for pilots in fractional-ownership aviation — where client-driven schedules and varied assignments shape a different kind of career.
CAREER CONTEXT
The fractional rhythm
Point Nemo Capital serves pilots whose schedules are shaped by private owners' needs rather than fixed route networks — a career with its own financial profile.
Pilots who fly for NetJets operate in the world of fractional ownership, where aircraft are flown on behalf of private owners on demand. The resulting career has its own signature: tour-style rotations, assignments that vary, and a schedule shaped by clients rather than by published timetables.
Variety is part of the appeal — and part of the financial challenge. Rotation patterns can compress time at home, variable assignments can make planning horizons feel less predictable, and a career spent moving between owners and schedules leaves little slack for portfolio administration.
We build plans for that reality: reserves sized to the rhythm, an investment strategy that does not depend on your watching it, and retirement income designed for a career that may not follow the seniority arc of the airlines — from early accumulation through retirement transitions.
IDENTIFYING THE AUDIENCE
What this page is — and is not
This page is written for pilots of NetJets as an intended professional audience. It does not describe any company benefit, plan, or program, and nothing here should be read as knowledge of your employer's provisions — or as any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement by NetJets.
WHAT WE DO NOT PROMISE
An adaptable plan is still exposed to market risk. Losses can and do occur, and past performance does not guarantee future results. Our discipline is preparation and process — not promises about what markets will deliver.
THE FIDUCIARY COMPASS
How we serve fractional-aviation pilots
Six areas where coordination matters most for a career without a fixed route network.
Invest risk capital deliberately
We believe capital that is put at risk should be invested in the highest-quality opportunities we can identify. Rather than dilute a portfolio simply for the sake of diversification, we focus on disciplined investment strategies designed to identify attractive opportunities while managing risk.
Keep liquidity liquid
Money needed for near-term spending, major purchases, taxes, or unexpected needs should not depend on market conditions. We generally manage these reserves with money market investments, separating liquidity needs from capital intended for long-term growth.
Build for income and total return
Income matters, particularly as a portfolio begins supporting retirement spending. Our investment process places meaningful emphasis on income, but we do not believe investors should accept an inferior investment simply because it offers a higher yield. We evaluate income as one component of the total portfolio and total return.
Invest beyond the retirement date
Retirement does not necessarily mean a short investment horizon. For pilots who have accumulated substantial assets, a portion of the portfolio may ultimately support children, grandchildren, or other future generations. We consider that longer horizon when determining how much capital should remain invested rather than allowing age alone to dictate the portfolio.
Let the investment process drive the portfolio
Taxes and capital gains matter, but they do not determine which investments we believe are most attractive. Our strategies are designed with metrics that tend toward tax efficiency while maintaining a disciplined focus on investment quality, income, valuation, and total return. The objective is to make the best investment decision first and consider the tax consequences of implementing it.
See the complete financial picture
Our financial planning technology brings investment accounts, retirement assets, income, spending, liabilities, and other financial information into one straightforward view. The result is a simple way to understand how the pieces fit together and how the investment portfolio supports the broader financial picture.
