About Brian Anderson

Brian Anderson is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Point Nemo Capital, where he delivers institutional investment strategies with boutique accountability to a select group of high-net-worth families, entrepreneurs, and professionals.

With over 25 years of experience in portfolio management, hedge funds, family offices, and risk management, Brian is known for disciplined capital allocation & independent judgment, with a focus on managing risk across market cycles.

Brian began his career at Koch Capital Markets, managing capital for one of the world's largest privately held companies. As Chief Portfolio Manager and Chief Operating Officer, he helped generate more than $250 million in net after-tax income by identifying asymmetric opportunities and executing high-conviction strategies.

He later served as Managing Partner at Emissar Capital Group, where his hedge fund produced positive returns through the 2008 financial crisis — demonstrating the resilience and risk discipline that remain central to his approach today.

Prior to founding Point Nemo Capital in 2023, Brian was Chief Investment Officer of Ocelot Capital Management and served as Chief Risk Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer at Galapagos Partners, where he managed the full balance sheets for 20 high-net-worth families.

Brian holds a BBA in Biochemistry and a BA in Finance from the University of Texas. He lives with his wife and sons outside Austin, Texas.
